AM/FM Inc. is a boutique advertising and marketing agency based in Edmonton. We work with a mix of local, regional, and national clients across a wide range of industries, delivering smart strategy, strong creative, and thoughtful execution.

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract, starting early February, 2026. This is a full-time role and an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and loves turning strategy into execution.

The Role

As Social Media Manager, you’ll be the day-to-day lead on social media accounts, responsible for managing client relationships, translating strategy into content plans, coordinating production, and ensuring content is delivered on time and aligned with client objectives.

You’ll work closely with our Content Creator, Strategist, Writer, Art Directors, and Account Managers to bring social strategies to life.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Client & Account Management

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for social media clients

  • Manage timelines, approvals, and client feedback

  • Ensure social media efforts align with broader marketing strategies

Strategy & Planning

  • Translate approved social strategies into executable plans

  • Develop content calendars (themes, cadence, platform mix)

  • Contribute insights and recommendations based on performance

Execution

  • Draft social media captions, hooks, and CTAs

  • Schedule and publish content across platforms

  • Coordinate content production with the Content Creator and Art Directors

  • Manage revisions and ensure high-quality delivery

Reporting & Optimization

  • Support monthly social reporting in collaboration with the Strategist

  • Monitor performance and platform trends

  • Use insights to optimize content and approach over time

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts (agency experience strongly preferred)

  • Strong understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Experience building content calendars and managing approvals

  • Confidence writing social captions and short-form copy

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines at once

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Comfortable collaborating with creatives and strategists

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Experience working with paid social teams

  • Familiarity with social analytics and reporting tools

  • Experience in regulated or complex industries

  • Video-first social experience
